About Highland DNC

Shoplink innovations

In 1995 Jerry Williams & Highland Technology (Baltimore) created DNC\CNC Windows:
full User terminal, then Windows apps overlaid directly on the CNC’s own CRT.
File transfers, file review\edit, drip-feed—no extra monitor, no walking away.
GE Fanuc acquired Highland in 2000. Highland DNC rose in 2001, kept legacy
support alive and never stopped innovating.
LCDs killed the overlay magic in 2007—yet nothing has ever matched Jerry’s
genius of a full Windows desktop on a 1990s Fanuc or Haas screen.
Today, 40 years on, Highland DNC still leads: ShopLink Low-Cost Wireless
the ONLY Bluetooth drip-feed system, and RS-232 “flash-drive” boxes that can
turn any phone, tablet, or PC into a networked/cloud-connected CNC file server.
Pure shop-floor perfection then—pure Wireless or USB perfection now.
